They Wrote to Mrs. Wilder
Yes, Mrs. A.J. Wilder has been getting letters about the Federal Farm Loan. The editor suspected she would when he printed her story in the Missouri Ruralist, and it was rather a mean trick to play on an unoffending contributor for Mrs. Wilder didn't send the article for publication. Mrs. Wilder would be glad to answer all these inquiries—even if "only one man of the many who wrote" enclosed a stamp—but she is just recovering from influenza and has neither the time nor strangth. Complete information can be obtained by writing to Federal Land Bank, Commerce trust Building, St. Louis, Mo. Plans for organization and the necessary blanks can be obtained free. Fegeral Farm Loan associations are being formed in many Missouri counties. Some persons contend, however, that there is no necessity for these associations and that local money lenders can care for the loans. The Missouri Ruralist expects to print both sides of the question in an early issue. Associate Editor Jeffrey will interview D. Ward King, director of the Federal Land Bank, and also interview some of the local money lenders of Holt and Nodaway counties. Then he'll give you the information in his unbiased, accurate style. Watch for this article; it will interest you.
